Hyenas

Introduction:
Is it a Dog or a cat? Its neither. It’s a hyenas. Hyenas Live in the wilderness. They are warm blooded mammals that have their own family called Hyaenidae. There are 4 species : spotted,striped,Brown and the Aardwolf.

Diet:
Hyenas have a really weird diet they eat Birds,Antelopes,Lizards,Snakes and Insects. Hyenas stalk their prey until It’s the right moment they dig their claws into the preys body and eat them away.

Protection:
Hyenas have a unique way of protecting themselves. A hyena will call out to other Hyenas and they will all join Forces . All the hyenas in the area , even the cubs go to where they heard the noise from and they surround the animal or thing that is harming them. Briefly they pull out their claws and scare off what's threatening them.

Habitat
Hyenas are found in Africa from grasslands , Savannahs ,woodlands , Deserts , Forests and mountains . Hyena’s Dig themselves Little Underground Den’s for them to sleep in. At Day Hyenas are usually found rolling around on the ground playing with their Tails. Hyenas spend most of their time Digging Dens .
